We are delighted that Indoor Archery has been authorised under the terms of the new Tier 2 restrictions, coming into force on 2 December 2020.
Members can now book onto shoots for December onwards as normal. Happy shooting!
In line with the new government guidelines coming into force on Thursday 5 November 2020, there will be no indoor archery taking place. This is obviously a great disappointment for us all but at the same time it is important in the fight against the virus.
We will of course keep you all updated with any changes as and when they occur but, we do not anticipate any more archery indoors until Sunday 6th December 2020 at the earliest.
As always, if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact any member of the committee and we will do our best to help out. Keep safe and we all look forward to shooting again as soon as it’s permitted.
Following confirmation from Archery GB that indoor shooting can continue, the Club Committee has been working with Rickmansworth School to create a plan that should allow as many archers as possible to shoot, while ensuring a COVID-19 compliant shooting environment.
All club members should have received an email from the Chairman with the procedure for indoor shooting. There is a restricted number of spaces per session but this is compensated for by additional sessions. Our approach is intended to ensure that there is as much opportunity and fairness for everyone to have a great indoor season.
If you have any questions about the indoor shooting procedure please contact the committee.
A massive well done to our archers, Keiron, Manish, Nick and Adrian, who entered this year’s County Indoor Competition. With a combined team score of 2248 points we got gold!
There was a good turnout from the club at the February 2017 Herts County Indoors, and plenty of medals achieved!
Gents recurve: Adrian Currall took silver, and Kieron Lehmann-Mayne took bronze.
Ladies Compound: Maureen Miller took bronze.
And the club took silver in the team recurve.
Well done all!
On the 17th June the club took part in Archery GB’s Annual Big Weekend, opening its doors to the public so that they could come and try archery. The weather was excellent and around 50 people turned out to have a go. Thanks to all who came along and to all those club members who helped make it a great day.
