Outdoor archery to restart on 18 April!

You will have recently had an email from the Chairman to say that, having had both confirmation from Archery GB and the news that as a country we are on target to achieve the next roadmap milestone, we can at last start shooting again!

The club will restart archery on Sunday 18th April. As with previous restarts, there will be a few rules and guidelines to be followed plus the online booking system must also be used. These will be very similar to previous rules and so on but full details of these will be sent out shortly.

Thank you all for your kind patience, support and understanding during these trying times – it is greatly appreciated.

Indoor Archery suspended

Following the Government’s announcement that Hertfordshire has moved into Tier 4 restrictions, all archery at Rickmansworth School Sports Hall can no longer take place.

When the Tiers are reviewed, let’s hope things will change in our favour so we can once again be back on the shooting line!

We sincerely hope you all will still be able to have a happy Christmas and see you all again next year!

Indoor archery date changes

Unfortunately indoor archery will be cancelled on the following dates:

  • Thursday 17 December
  • Sunday 20 December
  • Tuesday 22 December

Have a happy Christmas and New Year, wishing you all good health and much more archery next year!

Indoor archery suspended until December 2020

In line with the new government guidelines coming into force on Thursday 5 November 2020, there will be no indoor archery taking place. This is obviously a great disappointment for us all but at the same time it is important in the fight against the virus.

We will of course keep you all updated with any changes as and when they occur but, we do not anticipate any more archery indoors until Sunday 6th December 2020 at the earliest.

As always, if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact any member of the committee and we will do our best to help out. Keep safe and we all look forward to shooting again as soon as it’s permitted.

And the 2019-2020 Club Handicap Improver Trophy goes to…

Each year we recognise the archer that has improved their handicap the most during the season. Competition for this was tight with Richard Farmer taking 3rd place and Claire Byfield taking 2nd, but taking 1st place was Anoosh Liddell.

Congratulations to all and very well done! Here’s hoping that the forthcoming year will be more fruitful for us all.

No matter what your archery skill level is, please do keep submitting your scores as each one counts!
